Nearly the end of July

Hello, I can't believe how fast this year is going, it's the first week back to school for term 3 but I'm stuck home with a 6 year old who has the chicken pox, not a lot of fun! But he had a great time during the holidays we went ice skating, movies and to Te Papa museum, then in the last few days the dreaded spots started popping up. I have not been doing a lot of scrapping but have been doing a little knitting, the kids all have their much loved knitted slippers and I even did some socks for master 6 and with him sick and cuddly I've had time to knit for George (much to his discuss )
I've also done a couple of journal pages, I love the freedom of playing in my journals. So here are some photos and I will try to get some of the socks but he wears them and I haven't had a chance to take a photo!

And here we are trying to ice skate!

The End

Hello and welcome to my final blog post for Imagine If, Jo has decided instead of running a whole Design team for 12 months she will hold competitions and a guest designer for the month, so make sure you keep an eye out over at Imagine If and enter the comps for some fun prizes.
I have been so busy for the last little while and I am sick ( sick= no mojo) so I thought I would just play in my journal, to me anything goes in my journal, no rules, and a little fantasy, just have fun and try something new. So here is my journal page using Imagine if's beautiful new chipboard wings.
I have really enjoyed my time on the Imagine If design team, and would like to thank Jo and the other team member for an amazing and supportive last 12 months, and wish everyone the best in their next part of their journey in life.

Mermaids!

Hello and welcome, hope you have all being getting plenty of crafty time, this week I grabbed a piece of ply and made a wall hanging using the beautiful mermaid/people chipboard from Imagine If, you can chose if you want legs or a tail and your legs and arms can be whole or in two pieces, I'm in love! I had soooooo much fun making this but it did test my patience, I'm not one to let things dry naturally but for this I had to, and did you know its takes 24 hours for thick modeling paste to dry!

All my love!

Hello, today I have one of Imagine If chipboard tags that I have filled with chipboard cogs, an arrow and a piece of chicken wire then I have sprayed lots of yummy colour, on top I have colored a heart and sprinkled a little Finnabair love on top ( Mica Flakes) and used two different amazing alphabets from Imagine If which I've colored with  Lindy s stamp gang embossing powder which  is a new love for me, I've always loved the magic of embossing powders but the colors of Lindy s is amazing! Then hanging on the bottom of my tag is Imagine If's new keys and locks, which I've embossed with metal color embossing powder and a coat of UTEE'S which has given them life, They look so real, its amazing!

Hello

Hello, today I have a journal page to show you, its a bit dark but that is how I was feeling, I lost my faithful friend Angus over the weekend, he was with me for 10 years and he was a very loyal dog. He will be very missed by everyone who knew him 😭
I have used two stencils from Imagine if and the quote sheet 'Had enough' I've used random stamps in the background and lots of different dark sprays and I have then used my lovely Inktense pencils for a touch of colour.

My little Armoire!

Hello, and welcome back to my blog, this week I have a post for Imagine If, when I opened my parcel of goodies from Jo I was really happy to see the little Armoire (wardrobe) the first thing I thought of was flowers and lace but as you can see I changed my mind!
I wanted to make my Armoire into an old rusted top secret army box.

I've painted it army green by mixing paint until I liked the colour, then I have used a stencil to write 'top secret'  'keep out' and so on, then using a palate knife I have put Viva ferro paint in copper, once that dried I then applied watered down black acrylic paint and wiped some off just so it 'dirtied' my rust.

On the inside I have a photo of my son wearing an army helmet that I have poped into a piece of chipboard film strip.

Hope you have my little Armoire (wardrobe) and have a go at making one for yourself.

February already!

Hello and welcome to a quick post for Imagine If, First i would like to say congratulations to Margo for winning the Imagine If prize pack from my blog and congrats to all the others who won from the other design team members blogs.
This week I have made a valentines time layout (sort of) we don't usually do valentine day but I had a couple of photos of my Hubby and son that I really wanted to use, the photo were of us just playing with my new instax mini camera, and my son likes to take photos with it so he snapped one off of Dad.

For this layout I have hand drawn my heart and used that as my base, then I have used black modeling paste through the words stencil from Imagine If, then white modeling paste randomly through the circle stencil, once they were both dry I painted my heart with my Lindy's stamp gang spray and a brush, then sprayed a little Cafe' au lait to add a little colour.I've splatted a bit of red around, then written my journaling around the outside of my heart and I wrote the word love over my always. on top of my photos I have used a photo frame from Imagine If and a small heart to set it all off,
Thanks for dropping bye, see you next week,

Mini Album

Hello, here is my first blog for Imagine If for 2015, today I  have a mini album I made out of chipboard, for this album I wanted something a little different so it opens up from both sides, and I have pages on each side, I have added lots of pockets and flaps for photos and journaling.

This is the cover and I have used Imagine If's rectangle frames, I have painted with black Gesso then dusted perfect pearls for a light shimmer on top, then used my finger to paint a little Emerald wax in places to age it, then i have just added random paper, bling  and jewelry.

This page I have used the Hand mirror frame and I have distressed inked, sprayed and UTEE's to give it an old look, then i cut it in half and made two pages that match but sit in different parts of the album.

I have used lots of Imagine If's chip board, here is a beautiful bird cage, I have also filled my mini album with Jo's quote sheets.

Since it is a new year with a new start the lovely Jo has a  give away for each design team member, all you have to do is leave a comment  on here,( my blog) or leave me a comment on my facebook page and like the Imagine If face book page, then you can go into the draw to win a pack of beach words and things worth $20. winner will be drawn on Wednesday 28th January.

2015!

Holy cow! Can you believe we are already into week two of this year. I have being playing in my journal just letting myself go and enjoying the process, so today's play is full of yummy texture and I have played for the first time with bees wax in my art, love it! Will be using bees wax again, it leaves such a beautiful finish, and I love how you can dust mica powders over the top for a lovely bit of colour.
